First Devlog- Welcome to baseAFD
Greetings. I am Cam Fivattew, the sole developer of baseAFD.
I'm writing this mainly to give some background on my game, and also a bit of a status update.
I started work on AFD about 4 years ago, near the end of my freshman year of high school. I started it because I was board, and I didn't expect it to turn into anything massive. I eventually got it to a point that I was happy with. at that point, it looked like this. I left it alone to do other things for a while.
After that, I started routinely making decent-sized content updates to the game, until I eventually decided to "finish" and release the game as AFD on itch.io. That was about a year ago. But, since late last year I've been working on the game almost every day. I decided to ditch the "gritty" feel I was going for when I started 4 years ago and switch to a more lighthearted, humorous one. I consider it a 2.0 update to AFD, but there's so much new that I decided to rename it to something a bit more fitting, "baseAFD"
I've actually been juggling 2 games this past year, both baseAFD and my other game TOPHATS. However, even though it has been in development for 2 years now, TOPHATS is still in its early stages. I've decided to prioritize baseAFD, since it is much closer to completion.

I'd say it's about 45% complete. I still have a bunch of stuff to add. Luckily, I've become extremely proficient at using Construct 2, and I expect that it won't take a huge amount of time to finish the game.
That said, I'm going to release an early access alpha.
I've conveniently gotten to a nice point in development where I can tie up some loose ends and release Alpha 1. I will release a new alpha each time I reach the next development milestone.
The alpha should arrive sometime this month, because my friend who really likes the game keeps bugging me for a copy.
